Stanford's gender-neutral housing policy

Imagine sending your daughter to Stanford (or one of fifty or so other colleges and universities) and finding out that she has been assigned a dorm room with one other young woman and two young men. That's bedroom, not suite. Read my post on this in the Green Room.

Even as an agnostic twenty year-old idiot I would have been very uncomfortable sharing my college dorm room with two random guys. That might even have been enough to snap me into reality and spark a conversion to conservatism. Sometimes the ideologues can push things too far.
