Life will be interfering with blogging over the next week while I:
a) try to recover from a horrifying case of poison ivy (I'd post a picture but it's not that kind of blog);
b) go shopping for something to wear to a wedding, in spite of the horrifying case of poison ivy;
c) travel, disfigured by a horrifying case of poison ivy, to the wedding. (I'm now on steroids and hoping for a miraculous recovery.)
Since I won't be around much I've scheduled some odd posts just to keep the gears turning.
I'm not gone yet, though.

Certainly no consolation, but, just before I went to pick up my fiancee at Dulles, I went to tidy the yard and got a horrible dose of poison ivy.
Looked like hamburger at my wedding.
Fortunately, we were sort of eloping in place--we went to church, walked home, changed, walked back to church, and married. No guests, by her wish.
Whew!
I, too, once had the disfiguring case of poison ivy. It was lurking in beautiful hostas. If you've started steriods, you'll live. They really do the trick
Use Vitamin E once the weals have healed up a bit - it will keep the scars away! Mine was so bad, I bought a roll-on bottle of it at a health food store. Best 8 bucks I ever spent.
