No nukes for Obama, then and now

We are so not surprised to learn that Obama was a mindless lefty peacenik 25 years ago. It is nauseating, though, to read the words he wrote then and know that this is the man who is running our country. Toss in a side of disgust at the criminally negligent msm to go alongside the nausea. And please pass the vodka.

Like his vice president, Obama is a dangerous idiot. That's not just name-calling. He truly lacks the intellectual understanding and the judgment required to govern the US. His foreign policy is an adolescent fantasy that other leaders laugh at.

What has been revealed through the Columbia paper is that Obama's penchant for unilateral disarmament is sincere and of long standing:

Realist or dreamer, Mr. Obama has an interest in global denuclearization that arises from what can best be described as a lost chapter of his life. Though he has written two memoirs, he has volunteered few details about his two years at Columbia.

“People assume he’s a novice,” said Michael L. Baron, who taught Mr. Obama in a Columbia seminar on international politics and American policy around the time he wrote the Sundial article. “He’s been thinking about these issues for a long time. It’s not like one of his advisers said, ‘Why don’t you throw this out?’ ”

In a paper for Dr. Baron, Mr. Obama analyzed how a president might go about negotiating nuclear arms reductions with the Russians — exactly what he is seeking to do this week.

Jennifer Rubin on Obama's arrested development:

So little has changed. President Obama, like college student Obama, still fails to grasp the moral and political dimensions of the struggle we are involved in, still lacks any appreciation for the nature of totalitarian despots and of the motives compelling them to seek nuclear weapons. He is still fixated on the notion that weakness can resolve international threats. Unfortunately, the consequences for student Obama were not potentially fatal to his country. The reality is different today.

Fast forward 25 years to President Obama in Russia, digging on the attention. Some tidbits from Jake Tapper:

What Obama doesn't like about himself? His golf swing. Also, he says Michelle's job is to manage the children and to attempt to keep his ego from over-inflating to the point of bursting.

And how cool is this -- now that he's president, Obama can dispense with those annoying technicalities:

With the clock running out on a new US-Russian arms treaty before the previous Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty, or START, expires on December 5, a senior White House official said Sunday said that the difficulty of the task might mean temporarily bypassing the Senate’s constitutional role in ratifying treaties by enforcing certain aspects of a new deal on an executive levels and a “provisional basis” until the Senate ratifies the treaty.

What a nuisance the Constitution is becoming. This calls for a drink, comrade.
