Obama's bipartisan scorn for dissent

The Obama administration is finally beginning to unite the country. John Harwood of NBC, re yesterday's gay march on Washington:

Barack Obama is doing well with 90% or more of Democrats so the White House views this opposition as really part of the Internet left fringe. For a sign of how seriously the White House does or doesn't take this opposition, one adviser told me those bloggers need to take off the pajamas, get dressed, and realize that governing a closely divided country is complicated and difficult.

In other words, we don't need you, so please shut up. And by the way, we've taken on a really hard job here, you know, so we should be above criticism.

Another Black Conservative comments:

Perhaps things will start to come into focus for everyone that the disdain this White House has for Fox News and Tea Parties really isn’t the story. The truth is this White House has a problem with opposition in general. [emphasis added]

Bingo. Obama resents "chatter," a.k.a, criticism of Obama, from any source. We knew about this intolerance for dissent before the election but unfortunately no one on the Left wanted to pay attention.
