This post is not as snarky as it seems. As elites push more and more carbon taxes on us, air travel is increasingly becoming the domain of the rich and powerful. The Detroit News ran an article last week about how this holiday season, the only people who can afford to travel are the rich elites in the nation, while the rest of us are forced to take more 'environmentally friendly' means of transportation like public trains and souped-up go-carts.

I saw this article before. it angers me. It's another form of elitism, as you said, and definitely fascist.
ReplyDeleteIt is sadly amusing to see The Guardian describe Rajendra Pachauri as “the world's leading climate scientist”.
ReplyDeleteThe fact is that -- other than an honorary degree from the University of New South Wales -- this political hack holds NO academic degree in ANY branch of science!
Pachauri was educated in Industrial Engineering!
