Joy of Steyn: Mercer podcast

Mark's podcast on this great songwriter is vastly entertaining, if you like that sort of thing (and I do). Mercer wrote everything and everyone recorded his music. You'll not only hear audio clips of Sinatra singing some jewels -- That Old Black Magic, I Thought About You (underrated!), Too Marvelous, Tangerine, Goody Goody, et al. -- but also some unexpected voices, including Ricky Nelson (Fools Rush In), Clint Eastwood (Accentuate the Positive), and Mercer's own, which is quite good.

The back stories, like the one about Sadie Vimmerstedt, are as good as the music. Grab a hot beverage and settle in.
