Obama and Holder are compounding disaster. The only explanation for this indefensible decision is that they believe it will benefit them politically, but the backlash from a betrayal of this magnitude could be their undoing.Moreover, everyone knows that whatever the outcome of the trial, KSM will never walk free. He will spend the rest of his natural life in U.S. custody. Which makes the proceedings a farcical show trial from the very beginning.
Apart from the fact that any such trial will be a security nightmare and a terror threat to New York -- what better propaganda-by-deed than blowing up the courtroom, making KSM a martyr and turning the judge, jury and spectators into fresh victims? -- it will endanger U.S. security. Civilian courts with broad rights of cross-examination and discovery give terrorists access to crucial information about intelligence sources and methods.

So you are saying that Atty. General Holder is willing to risk lives for a political goal? This is beyond silly.

Some of the lefties have been saying that the criminal trial of KSM will show the world what a fair and just legal system we have. Why do we need to prove that to anyone? I am perfectly OK with everyone in the rest of the world thinking anything they want about our legal system. I feel no need to control what people think about America. But, I guess, if you hated America you might feel the need for control.
But what else does this say? Does the left want everyone to move here before they break any laws so they'll have the best chance of walking? I'd rather not send that message but I have to wonder about the left.
God willing the FBI can stop any terrorist plot against the trial. Perhaps that will be enough to show people how stupid Obama and Holder really are!
