The Green Police

Someone may have miscalculated with this one:

On a second viewing, the Audi Super Bowl ad is pretty stunning in the way that it makes environmentalists look like out-of-control... well, Liberal Fascists, I guess you could say.

Almost prophetic - imagine all those "created" jobs!!

Seems ill-advised to paint the "greenies" as buffoons (which they are) when you are flogging a "green" car. But oxymoronism isn't a problem for them usually, is it?

I thought the same thing when I saw it..

They are already in effect in San Fran, however.

It would be such great satire. If only it was intended that way.

I thought the ad was actually a bit scary - the scariest part is that the greenie-weenies probably took it seriously. I know!

I was put off by the commercial. It hit way too close to home for me. There is no doubt they would do exactly this to us if given the power... Wait they do this. What about those houses in California that burned down because the green police wrote laws preventing the owners from clearing the brush around the homes. All because of some rat or bug or lizard.

They are here, and getting worse.

The ad is a great way to exacerbate the counter-will of Americans, who detest being micromanaged by the government.

Cops in NJ are writing people up if they put recyclable items in the trash.
