Catching up on yesterday's news. From what I gather the best thing to come out of Monday's House antics was Rep. Paul Ryan's condemnation of them. Dems like to think (and dearly hope) that the voters don't care about the process, and perhaps that's often true. But don't count on it in this case, when 1) voters are informed, 2) the majority party is pushing the process up to and perhaps beyond the limits of the Constitution, and 3) there is so much at stake. People are paying attention and they do, in fact, care about this disgraceful process.
Here's Ryan:
Michelle Malkin has excerpts for those who can't watch the whole thing. Just one:
This is the vaunted transparency that the president promised? The arrogance, the paternalism, the condescension to the American people is just breathtaking.Ryan covers the substance as well as the process. Worth watching.
Meanwhile, our Campaigner in Chief graced Ohio with his presence yesterday. He was "there for Natoma," an alleged victim of insurance industry abuse and our "broken" health care system. Turns out (you know what's coming) her story is, er, different, from the one Obama sold to the small crowd in Strongsville. Gateway Pundit:
Natoma Canfield is being cared for at one of the top cancer centers in America. She will qualify for financial aid and won’t lose her home.Someday they'll find a real victim of the flawed system. In the meantime I'm feeling pretty good about what we've got.

I'm reluctant to repeat this but The Hill reported last night that Rep. Bart Stupak "guesstimates" that Pelosi isn't close to the 216 votes she needs. The Dems say otherwise. No one knows what's true and it shouldn't affect our actions either way. Keep melting the phones.

I cannot find the word to sufficiently express my nausea at this administration, or lack there of. It's like watching The Keystone Cops.
Abbey, two words....dry heaves.
Try to imagine the reaction of the mainstream media if this were Bush trying to push through Social Security reform or anything else with such blunt contempt for the dignity of the process and constitution.
But maybe don't -- it would just induce more nausea.
