ReplyDeletePerhaps you should also talk about the Chinese govt.'s habit of putting kids in rural schools to work, rather than teaching them. There was that famous incident when the school blew up while the kids were being forced to make fireworks to pay for "school fees."

Child labor like that in rural areas isn't uncommon in China.
