Not at all surprised Jon H. is endorsing Willard Mitt Romney. I personally liked Jon Huntsman and thought he would be a good, strong candidate if he could muster some momentum.
ReplyDeleteI think there is a Mormon theological narrative being played out here, that with a Mormon in the White House it will bring humanity closer to fulfillment in the Mormon sense...more "spirit children" being released by earthly parents and being brought into the Mormon fold. Mormons believe the Declaration of Independence to literally be "divinely inspired", so a Mormon POTUS is the logical outcome, though it will have taken 200+ years.
Did you realize, Pundette, that Mormons are working daily, via "temple work" to baptize your dead relatives by proxy to make them Mormon? Thus the keen interest and vast archives of geneological material. No one is exempt...most of the Catholic saints have been "baptized by proxy" and if they were not married here on earth, a spiritual marriage is done for them, by proxy. Even our greatest saints who led chaste lives here on earth have been married in Mormondom.
I know a little bit about Mormonism but it's not something I want to write about. I think the liberal media will become very interested in doing so, though, if Romney gets the nomination.

The old republican guard in DC really needs to retire as much as the old crabby dems. If there ever was a case for voting them all in and out on a regular basis, it's now. And do away with the full pension law after one term or exemption from the laws which apply to us.
