Since Friday night's storms, 911 phone service has been spotty in Fairfax County, Virginia. Authorities are "perplexed" that the system and the back-up system have failed, but they do have some helpful information for residents:
If residents couldn’t get through on 911, each government provided non-emergency numbers. If those didn't work, residents were advised to flag down a police officer or firefighter, or walk to the nearest fire station for help.Oooookay then. Another tip: Whatever you do, don't have an emergency.

Yeah, this has been a nightmare. My power is due back on possibly Thursday, but most likely not until Friday.
ReplyDeleteNow, Fairfax County is the main source of revenue into the treasury. Why in heavens name do we not have one single cooling center open for people like me?
Be careful out there!
