Huh? It's just another whopper from President Obama. From the Daily Caller:
Obama was asked, “So how are you going to talk to Republicans differently if you are reelected?”"Once again reach out to Republicans"? As in "I won, I will trump you on that"? Or as in Obamacare, which was shoved down our throats without any GOP support?
“Republican voters, if you ask them about my particular policy positions, often agree with me. So there’s a difference between Republicans in Washington and Republican and Republican-leaning voters around the country,” Obama said in a Parade Magazine reader question-and-answer session published on Friday.
“I think that after this election, we’ll be in a position to once again reach out to Republicans and say that the American people have rendered a judgment, and the positions we’re taking are well within what used to be considered bipartisan centrist approaches.”
“When you look at the policies I’ve promoted, they used to be considered bipartisan, mainstream ideas. What’s changed is not me. What’s changed is where the Republican Party’s gone,” he said.
But no, if you're thinking Obama and company are radical lefties, well, you're just confused. Obama's a centrist. Got that, independents? (Pay no attention to his passion for big government, his executive overreach, his takeover of the health care system, his contempt for religious liberty and freedom of conscience, his attacks on business, his radical views on abortion and the sanctity of life, etc. Nothing to see there.)
If Obama wins, brace yourselves for the new flexibility.

"Republican voters often agree with me"
ReplyDeleteIt's Opposite Day, right?
Is there any part of this man's universe that is not make-believe?
ReplyDeleteThis man seriously needs a psych eval... What color is the sky in his world? After squandering his first two years in totally unobtructed control by completely failing to reach across the isle except to bitchslap his opposition, he now expects the Republicans to agree with him? He is delusional. I have a 20yo autistic son who would laugh uncontrollably upon hearing this coming from Obama. BTW, although he is autistic, I was able to stay home with him and he has come a long way. In his third year and will have an AA by December while working 20-30 hours a week. He would be a better President than Obama and so would my 16yo sports nut...
