When I was in my late twenties (making it almost 40 years ago) you could buy those for adults. My mom got me a pair with built in footies. I loved those jams!

:) I remember when they were popular. But only for *inside* the house.
ReplyDeleteOkay, in THIS case, it's indefensible 'irony'(and would be even if they wore 'em while singing cowboy songs with ukeleles.) A nation of babies dressing accordingly is already a bad enough GENUINE irony (as opposed to attitude-irony,) but this suggests it's chillingly (if somewhat metaphorically)prescient, too. Japan, a country where adult diapers now outsell children's, and we know why....
