Fifty days and counting . . .

Perhaps it's crept up on you, but I've been thinking about the 2015 Frank Sinatra Centenary and how I might observe it for a long time. Little Francis Albert was born in 1915, and, conveniently for me, near the end of the year. That means I have a whole year in which to post my favorite 100 recordings, in (roughly) ascending order. The plan is to post two songs a week, with video whenever possible.

Here's a warm-up from the 40s, back when Frank was still cracking skinny jokes:

Someone, ten years from now, ought to honor the 100th anniversary of the birth of that song, written by Isham Jones and Gus Kahn in 1924.
